I am a London-based music journalist, currently working as editor of CMU, part of UnLimited Media. In this role I oversee theCMUwebsite.com, CMU Daily, CMU Weekly and The Xfm Remix Update. I also work as features editor of ThreeWeeks. More information on all of these is provided below.

I have worked in the music industry in various guises for over ten years, including running an independent music website and a small record label.

But, what’s this blog all about? Well, it has gone through a number of changes over the years, but these days I keep it as an archive of my writing. Here you will find all my freelance work, as well as highlights from my work in CMU Daily and maybe the occasional stand-alone piece. You never know.
CMU
CMU is a UK-based ‘online network’ for everyone who makes, breaks, plays, plugs, writes, rates, champions and cherishes great new music. It exists to bring together everyone working in music, from the suits at the biggest music and media firms, to the people keeping it very real in the grass roots music community – whether they be artists, songwriters, club night promoters, fanzine editors, college radio presenters, student newspaper reviewers or simply those obsessive and vocal music fans which marketing types like to call opinion formers.

ThreeWeeks
ThreeWeeks is the flagship media at the Edinburgh and Brighton Festivals. Its mission is to provide as comprehensive coverage as is humanly possible of both these festivals, in particular reviewing those shows not getting media coverage elsewhere.
